How do I reset my PIN to access My Account through the Library’s online catalog?
Library PINs are set to the last four digits of your phone number. However, if you need to reset your Library PIN, please follow these directions. Once you reset your PIN, you should have access to your online account.
How do I download eBooks?
There are two apps available for downloading eBooks. The Libby app, by Overdrive, allows for very easy use of eBooks. Please follow the instructions from OverDrive on downloading the Libby app to access digital content on your device.
If you are interested in downloading eBooks as well as streaming films, the best option is the OverDrive app for Android, Apple Devices and Computers. Please follow the instructions from OverDrive on downloading the OverDrive app to access digital content on your device or desktop.
The following instructions help you get started with the OverDrive app on Kindle devices, add libraries to your app, manage your content, etc.
How can I access Consumer Reports from home?
Visit the library’s website at ylpl.org. Follow the path to the Consumer Reports database:

- Click on Consumer Reports
- Enter your library card number (entire barcode number, no spaces)
- Click Sign In
- Click on ConsumerReports.org
How do I access digital magazines from the Library?
The Library offers digital magazines for streaming and download. Please follow the instructions from Flipster on downloading the Flipster app to access digital magazines on your device.

I would like to download free music. How can I do that?
The Library offers a subscription to a streaming and downloadable music service called Freegal. With your library card, you can download 5 songs per week and stream 5 hours of music per day. To access this service, please visit the library’s website at ylpl.org. Follow these instructions to access the Freegal subscription. At this time, Freegal is offering 24-hours-per-day streaming services, through September 30, 2020.

The Library offers access to Rosetta Stone online for free with your library card. Please follow the instructions from Rosetta Stone on downloading the Rosetta Stone app to access the content on your device.
Can I access Ancestry.com from home?
Although Ancestry Library is normally limited to access inside the library, at this time Ancestry.com has temporarily expanded access to library users remotely. To access Ancestry Library at your home, follow these steps:

- Scroll down to Genealogy
- Click on Ancestry Library
- Enter your library card number (entire barcode number, no spaces) and pin number (last four digits of phone number)
- Click Login
