
The contract holder (individual reserving the room) is required to complete a Yorba Linda Public Library Room Rental Application, Facility Use Contract, provide Room Rental Liability Insurance, and a Incidentals Credit Card Authorization form and visit the Library in person to complete the reservation process. An initial payment of $500 is required to secure the booking if your event is further than 60 days out. If the event will take place within 60 days of placing the reservation or the total amount of the rental is under $500, payment will be required in full at the time of booking.
The Yorba Linda Public Library has a dividable Community Room and Olinda Room available for rentals. Rates for each room will vary depending on your rental classification and type of event based on the Yorba Linda Public Library Rental Fee Schedule. To qualify for Yorba Linda resident non-profit and religious organization rates, organizations must provide proof of the following and must be verified by Library staff prior to receiving the resident non-profit and religious organization rates. Visit the Rental Use Policy section for further information on the reservation timeline and rental classifications.
• State of California Franchise Tax Board exemption under Sections 23701d, 23701e, 23701f, 23701g, 23701w or 501(c)(3) of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
• Yorba Linda Based organizations shall be based in Yorba Linda. Proof of residency shall be based on their tax-exempt status filing with the IRS and State of California.
• Have minimum of 60% Yorba Linda residents and/or 60% with Yorba Linda business addresses. A membership roster and the nonprofit tax exemption number shall be submitted on a yearly basis as a condition of any organization receiving classification in this group.

Yes, outside caterers are welcome to provide food for your event. A prep kitchen containing a residential refrigerator, stove/oven, and a warming oven is available for use in the Community Room. It is encouraged those clients tour the facility with their caterer, so they are aware of the limitations. Food shall not be prepared on the Library and Cultural Arts Center campus.

Yes, alcohol may be served. However, all private parties and commercial events, as outlined in the alcohol policy, serving alcohol are required to enter into an agreement with Center Wedding & Events to purchase and service alcohol. Further details on the bar pricing and packages can be obtained by contacting the Library or Center Wedding & Events at (657) 242-4568. A minimum of one (1) security guard is required to be present at all events serving alcohol with 100 or more people in attendance. Please see the Alcohol Use Policy for all information pertaining to the service of alcohol.
Yes, staff will provide and setup chairs and tables for your function. Tables and chairs will be set up by the start of your contract time according to the room diagram provided. The options are limited based on other events and quantities of tables and chairs requested. Table inventory are 5' rectangle tables. Choose your preferred room layout from our variety of floorplan options.

The total number of people each room can accommodate will depend on the function, event activities, and room set-up. You can view the maximum room capacity chart for each room and view several various room layouts on the floor plans and room capacity section.
The earliest time you or your vendors may access the room is the start of your contracted time. Due to liability concerns, items cannot be dropped off in the room until your contracted time begins. All guests, vendors, and any items brought in must be removed from the room by the end of your contract time.
