What is the Solar Canopy Project?
The City of Yorba Linda will begin installing solar panel canopies in City facility parking lots including the Library & Cultural Arts Center, Community Center, and Black Gold Golf Club to improve energy efficiency and reduce long-term costs.
How long will the project take?
The project is expected to complete by late Summer 2025.
How will this impact parking?
Some parking will be available during construction. Additional parking will be available at the Yorba Linda Town Center parking structure.
Will there be a reduction in programs or services?
All Library programs and services will continue during construction.
How much will the Library save from this project?
Over the next 20 years, the Library is projected to save approximately $860,000.
