Lines of Fire: Andrew Carroll’s Search for the Greatest War Letters Ever Written

Andrew Carroll, the bestselling author and director of the Center for American War Letters (WarLetters.us) at Chapman University, is traveling the country to seek out 1,000,000 letters written during every war in U.S. history, from the Revolution up to the present day. Carroll will talk about his campaign to save wartime correspondences and show audience members some of the most extraordinary letters from his collection. Carroll will also discuss his recent book, MY FELLOW SOLDIERS: General John Pershing and the Americans Who Helped Win the Great War. Anyone with war letters they’re willing to donate (either originals or photocopies) are encouraged to bring them to the event.
